Filoviruses belong to the filovirus family, the single-stranded RNA viruses, is a kind of infection of vertebrates virus, the known genera are Ebola virus, Marburg virus and Kuwa virus. Virus particles are complex structures with mantle, nuclear sheath, polymerase complex and matrix. The virus particles are wrapped in the mantle. The shape of the virus is filamentous, or branched polymorphic, or U-shaped, 6-shaped, or round (especially after purification), the diameter of the virus is about 80 nm, can reach 1,400 nm long, purified virus length may reach 790-970 nm. The shape of a tumor like protuberance on the surface is distributed in the lipid bilayer membrane.
